Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 head of white cabbage (about 1 kg)
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 apples
  • 500 g mayonnaise (preferably Miracle Whip)
  • 1 cup fried onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cole Slaw

Cut the white cabbage into very fine strips, peel and grate the carrots, and peel and finely dice the onion. Wash the apples and cut them into small cubes without peeling them. Place the cabbage, carrots, onion, and apples in a bowl, mix with the mayonnaise, and let stand for a good hour. Sprinkle with fried onions before serving. Serve with a juicy steak, toasted white bread, or crispy chicken thighs.
