Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400 g minced meat, half and half
- 2 tbsp water, cold, or 20 g butter or margarine
- some salt
- 60 g butter or margarine for frying
- 2 onions
- 125 ml water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water, cold, for mixing
- e.g. salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Stir 2 tablespoons of water or melted fat into the meat, add salt to taste, form flat dumplings, score them with a knife in a lattice pattern, and fry quickly in hot butter (margarine) (about 4 minutes on each side). Meanwhile, brown the sliced onions in the pan on the side, which you will use to serve the meat. Thicken the meat juices, which you’ve loosened with water, with the cornstarch and season with salt and pepper.
