Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 point dry yeast
  • ¼ liter of water
  • 20 g brown sugar
  • 20 g cinnamon (approx. 3 heaped tbsp, with this large amount make sure it is Ceylon cinnamon.)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Knead the flour, yeast, and water into a yeast dough and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour. After the resting time, knead the dough again vigorously and roll it out flat. Then spread the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the dough. Roll everything up and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cinnamon roll at 190°C for 25 minutes. Cut into pieces. A tip: I always add an extra cup of water to prevent the cinnamon roll from becoming too dry.
