Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 300 g sugar
- 6 eggs
- 400 g flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp cardamom
- 400 g sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 tsp butter, for greasing the mold
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs, for dusting the dish
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Sour cream sponge cake
Preheat the oven to 180°C, grease and dust a 28cm round cake pan. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and cardamom. Stir half of the mixture into the batter. Add the sour cream and vanilla, then stir in the remaining flour. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Tip: The cake tastes best when it’s still lukewarm!
