Cedar Bread
The perfect cedar bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough mass:
- 280 g Ground almonds
- 100 g Hazelnuts
- 20 g Rye flour
- 250 g Powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp Grated lemon peel
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Citronat (Succade)
- 2 tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 1 piece Eggs
- 1 tsp Tartar baking powder
Frosting:
- 50 g Powdered sugar
- 50 ml Lemon juice
Dough:
- Grate the lemon zest from a hot washed organic lemon. To strengthen it, chop the succade and weigh the sugar. Mix the almonds, hazelnuts and rye flour together with the other ingredients one after the other and let the mixture thicken for 10 minutes. Then roll out and cut out with moon molds.
Baking time:
- 15 minutes at 160 ° C in a preheated electric oven, or longer depending on the desired browning.
Use:
- With coffee or tea as a pastry. Also goes well with the holidays.
