Meatballs, Frikadellen or Fleischkuchenrl – everyone as they like

Cut the bread rolls into small pieces, soak them in a little water, and squeeze them out well. If using dumpling bread, proceed in the same way. Finely chop the onion (and garlic if desired). Thoroughly mix the minced meat with the egg, bread cubes, onion cubes, aglio alla arrabiata or garlic, and green pepper (whole seeds!). Season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika. Form the mixture into about 10 meatballs. Heat a grill pan, add a little oil, and fry the meatballs for about 15 minutes on each side. We love to serve it with a Swabian potato salad or pointed peppers with oven-baked feta cheese and baguette or ciabatta. Aglio alla arrabiata is chopped garlic with tomatoes. Fresh garlic can be used just as well.
