Herring or herring salad with turkey

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g herring fillet(s)
  • 250 g turkey meat
  • 250 g gherkins, sour
  • 4 eggs, boiled
  • 250 g apple
  • 1 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tbsp capers

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Boil the eggs for 6-10 minutes until hard-boiled. Allow to cool. Fry the turkey until crispy and allow to cool. Drain the herring fillet well and cut into the smallest possible pieces. Peel and core the apples and also chop them very finely. Also dice the pickled cucumbers. Peel the eggs and chop them very finely. Also chop the turkey. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, add the capers and mustard and stir well so that the mustard is evenly distributed. Chill the salad and serve thoroughly chilled! If you like, you can season with pepper and a few tablespoons of cucumber juice. Tip: For guests or your partner, you can stir a little cream from the jug into the appropriate portion.
