Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 2 cans of dough, fresh dough for croissants (contents of the can 6 pieces/)
  • 12 slices of cooked ham
  • 200 g Gouda, medium-aged, whole or grated
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Finger food

Grate the Gouda cheese. Roll out the croissant dough and cut into 12 triangles. Top with a slice of ham. Trim any excess ham. Spread 2/3 of the cheese on the dough pieces. Roll up the croissants starting at the narrow end and shape them into croissants. Mix the egg yolk with the cream and spread it over the croissants. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Line two baking sheets with baking paper. Arrange the croissants on the paper. Bake one after the other in the hot oven for about 12-15 minutes. This will improve the baking results. Electric oven 200°C, fan oven 175°C, gas mark 3.
