Sweet potato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g potato(s), waxy
  • 200 g sweet potatoes
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 250 g cheese, grated, e.g. Gouda, medium-aged
  • salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg or rosemary

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

vegetarian, simple and super delicious!

Preheat oven to approximately 200°C (fan). Cut the potatoes and sweet potatoes into (very) thin slices and mix well in the casserole dish (the ratio of potatoes to sweet potatoes should be roughly the same size throughout). Season the cream with salt and pepper and add nutmeg or rosemary (to taste). Pour the cream mixture evenly over the potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 200°C for approximately 50 minutes. Serve with some greens, such as blanched broccoli or snow peas.
