Raspberry schnapps

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g rock sugar, white
  • 200 g raspberries
  • 750 ml schnapps (grain)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

the most delicious liquor I have ever drunk, sweet

Take a glass carboy or a bottle with enough room to fit everything. Fill it with the raspberries (they can be frozen, but don’t necessarily have to be fresh), then the white rock candy chunks, and then simply pour in the schnapps (700-750 ml). Take a tea towel and secure it over the opening with a rubber band to prevent anything from flying in. You should store this bottle in a relatively cool, dark place for 8 weeks, stirring it a bit daily so the rock candy can dissolve. Then simply drain it. You can eat the raspberries with ice cream—if you can tolerate it—or simply squeeze it through a cloth. The schnapps is sweet and tastes like alcoholic raspberry juice. I usually make several liters of it in a 25-liter glass carboy because the bottles always empty in no time, and the list of pre-orders keeps getting longer. A pub even wanted to offer the schnapps for sale!
