Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp orange liqueur, or orange juice (if children are eating)
  • 1 point flavoring (sweetened lemon peel) OR:
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel, organic
  • 1 pkt. Vanilla-flavored dessert sauce (for 500 ml milk – for cooking)
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash, hull, and halve the strawberries. Mix half of the sugar with the lemon juice and liqueur (or juice) and let the strawberries steep in it for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. In a fairly large bowl, beat the egg yolks with 1 tablespoon of water and the lemon zest until frothy. Stir in the sauce mix. Fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the egg yolk cream. Place the strawberries in an ovenproof dish and spread the cream mixture on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (150°C fan oven) for 12-15 minutes (on the middle shelf). Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
