Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g smoked pork ribs
- 250 g bacon, streaky
- 6 potatoes
- 500 g beans, green, fresh or frozen
- 1 carrot(s)
- 2 liters of water
- 2 onions
- Savory, fresh or dried, or winter savory
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with fresh or frozen beans
Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces. Wash and slice the carrots. Peel and rinse the onions. Wash the savory. Pour 2 liters of water into a pressure cooker. Wash the smoked pork ribs and add them, along with the potatoes, carrots, onions, beans, and savory. Put the pressure cooker on until boiling, then simmer for 20 minutes, then release the steam and open the pot. In the meantime, dice the streaky bacon and fry in a non-stick pan without any additional fat, then add it to the soup. Remove the smoked pork ribs and remove them from the bone/cartilage, then return the meat to the soup. Remove the savory with a fork and remove it from the stem with another fork, discarding the stem and returning the leaves to the soup. Tip: This recipe can of course also be prepared without a pressure cooker, but in this case, note that the smoked pork ribs need to cook on their own for 1.5 hours. Then add the remaining ingredients as described above and cook for another 30 minutes.
