- 250 g spaetzle
- 150 g breakfast bacon or diced ham
- 400 g frozen vegetables (stir-fried or buttered vegetables)
- 1 large onion(s)
- salt and pepper
- Garlic granules
- nutmeg
- 1 cup of cream
- 100 g cheese, grated

An ideal recipe for those in a hurry
Cook the spaetzle according to the instructions. Dice the bacon and fry it with diced onion in a pan. Add the stir-fried vegetables or buttered vegetables and fry everything until crispy. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and garlic. Add the spaetzle and transfer everything to a casserole dish. Mix the cream with the grated cheese, season with spices, and pour over the ingredients in the casserole dish. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 200°C on the middle rack for 20-25 minutes. Serve with a green salad or a tomato and arugula salad. A vegetarian version also works well with smoked tofu.
