Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 9 slices of toast
- 200 g cooked ham, cut into small cubes
- 200 g sour cream
- 200 g cheese, grated
- 3 tbsp chives, cut into fine rolls
- some salt and pepper
- possibly Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and arrange the slices of toast on it. Mix 100g of cheese, ham, sour cream, and chives in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Spread this mixture evenly on the slices of bread and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Place the baking sheet in the oven (middle rack) and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown. We like to spice up the toast with a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce. Serve with a delicious salad. Note: These toasts are very quick to make for dinner, and if you have unexpected guests, you can quickly “conjure up” something on the table. You can also use other ingredients instead of cooked ham and chives; the sky’s the limit. And if you use only vegetables, vegetarians can also enjoy them.
