Gratinated leaf spinach dumplings casserole

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 450 g leaf spinach (frozen)
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 g cream cheese spread
  • 2 ½ tbsp sauce thickener (roux, light)
  • some garlic powder
  • 1 pack of dumplings (mini dumplings)
  • 1 pack of mozzarella
  • 125 g ham cubes
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Thaw the spinach leaves in a saucepan or microwave. Season generously with salt and pepper. Bring the milk to a boil, add the processed cheese, and stir until smooth. Stir in the roux and cook for 1 minute. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Then place the spinach and uncooked mini dumplings in a greased baking dish. Slice the mozzarella and spread it over the mini dumplings. Pour the cheese sauce over the top and finally scatter the ham cubes over the mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven: 175°C) for about 30 minutes.
