Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g spleen(s), finely scraped
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 slices of toast or white bread
  • Salt and pepper, black from the mill
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • marjoram
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Fat, for baking
  • 1 liter soup (beef soup)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the spleen, egg, and spices thoroughly, followed by salt. Spread the mixture onto the bread slices. Heat a finger-high amount of fat in a pan. Place the bread slices, spread side down, and fry until crispy brown on both sides. Remove from the fat, drain, and trim off the edges if necessary. Cut into bite-sized squares or diamonds and serve with the beef broth.
