Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine the eggs, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar and beat until fluffy. Then add the flour and baking powder and mix. Add enough milk until the batter drips from the spoon. To give the muffins a special flavor, you can add cocoa powder (for chocolate muffins, you’ll need about 4 tablespoons), candied lemon peel, or candied orange peel to the basic batter. The great thing about this recipe is that it’s so versatile. Bake the muffins in the oven on the middle rack at 175 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.
