Macaroni casserole with tomato sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g macaroni
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 can tomatoes, peeled, 400 g
  • 100 ml chicken broth
  • 100g Gouda
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Prepare the macaroni according to the package instructions. Sauté the diced onion in a little oil in a saucepan until translucent, add the sugar, and let it melt. Bring to a boil with the tomatoes and broth and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Then puree with an immersion blender until smooth and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the pasta to a greased baking dish and pour over the sauce. Sprinkle with grated Gouda cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 220°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for about 15 minutes.
