Spätzle casserole "Lasagna style"

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g Spätzle, from the refrigerated section
  • 160 g minced beef
  • 1 small onion(s), diced
  • 250 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cl red wine or broth/water
  • 60 g sour cream
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 120 g cheese, grated
  • some fat for the mold
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Brown the ground beef in a non-stick pan. Briefly fry the onion and then deglaze with red wine or stock/water. Then add the tomatoes. Add the spices and herbs. Stir the mixture, simmer for a few minutes, and season again if necessary. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Mix the sour cream with the milk until smooth and season with salt and pepper. Grease a baking dish. Place the spaetzle in the dish. Add the tomato and mince sauce and half of the cheese and mix well. Spread the sour cream over the top. Sprinkle the casserole with the remaining cheese and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!
