Bavarian Leberkäse slices "hot"

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g Leberkäse
  • some chili peppers (jalapenos from a can are ideal)
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Leberkäse (liver sausage) is nice and spicy, for chili lovers

Slice the cold Leberkäse and fry in a pan. When it’s nicely browned, remove it, top with some pickled jalapeno slices, and then add a slice of cheese. Now either bake it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius is fine) for a few minutes or simply microwave it for 2 minutes at 1000 watts. This goes wonderfully with mashed potatoes, browned onion rings, and a little melted butter.
