Cheese and ham roll with fried onions

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g flour
  • 500 g quark
  • 16 tbsp milk
  • 12 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 packets of baking powder
  • 50 g fried onions
  • 150 g diced ham
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

for 40 rolls

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan/convection oven. Knead the ingredients into a dough, then knead in the onions, ham, and cheese. Form 40 small rolls from the dough and place 20 each on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 160°C fan/convection oven for about 30 minutes. Tip: You can also make these rolls with wholemeal flour; I’ve tried wholemeal wheat flour and wholemeal spelt flour.
