Stuffed mushrooms

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 large mushrooms
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 70 g nuts (pecans), chopped, or walnuts
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • Honey
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. grated cheese (Parmesan, Edam etc.)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

hearty and savory

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Wash the mushrooms and remove the stems. Cut the bacon into strips and fry in a pan. Finely dice the shallots and sauté them with the bacon in the pan until translucent. Add the finely chopped rosemary and chopped nuts. Season to taste with honey, salt, and pepper. Mix the bacon and onion mixture with the cream cheese and stuff the mushrooms. Sprinkle with desired cheese, if desired, and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
