  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 500 g pork schnitzel
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tsp broth, clear
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • Spice(s) of your choice
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel and dice the onions and garlic. Clean, wash, and finely chop the bell peppers. Pat the schnitzel dry and cut into thin strips. Brown the meat in hot oil and season with salt and pepper, then remove. Brown the garlic, onions, and bell peppers in the frying fat. Sprinkle with flour and sauté. Add the passata and bring everything to a boil. Dissolve the stock in the mixture and simmer for about 10 minutes. Mix in the meat again and braise everything for about another 5 minutes. Season the schnitzel with ketchup, salt, paprika, and other spices of your choice. Wash and chop the parsley, and sprinkle it on top. We serve it with homemade spaetzle. Tip: You can easily use turkey schnitzel or something similar instead of pork schnitzel.
