Winnie's Onion and Apple Salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 850 g apples, e.g. Delicius, Jonagold or Elstar
  • 750 g onion(s)
  • 150 g mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 pack of herbs (8 herbs), frozen
  • n. B. Dill
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 30 minutes

Core the apples and peel them, if desired, or use them with the skin on. Cut the onions and apples into sticks. Mix the lemon juice with the mayonnaise and cream, then add the 8-herb mixture. Mix all ingredients together. Season with dill, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the salad sit in the refrigerator for 6 hours. Season again before serving.
