  • 1 small onion(s)

quick and vegetarian

First, wash the halloumi, otherwise it will be too salty, and then cut into thin slices. If necessary, tear the slices even smaller so they don’t fall apart in the pan. Peel the onion, halve it, and cut it into thin half rings. Fry both in a pan with oil until the halloumi is nicely seared. Then season with rosemary and a little pepper if desired. Toast the slices of bread as desired and spread with tzatziki. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and slice them. Arrange the tomatoes on 2 of the 4 slices of bread. Then place a lettuce leaf on each slice and then the halloumi on top. Cover each slice with another slice of toast. If you like, you can add other things to the toast, such as olives.
