with caramelized onions

Blend the bacon strips with an onion and a clove of garlic in a blender until you get a fine paste. Mix this paste with the minced meat and egg and knead for at least 5 minutes. Finely chop 3 slices of Cheddar and stir them into the mixture. Divide the mixture into 5 equal portions and form patties. Cover them with plastic wrap and store in the freezer while you prepare the remaining ingredients. The meat can be prepared the day before. Slice the remaining onions and fry them in a pan with oil until translucent. Add the honey and continue to fry everything while stirring. The onions are ready when they are golden brown with a light toasted aroma. Warm the buns in the oven. Then cut them open, spread with your chosen sauce and place a lettuce leaf on each one. Fry the patties for about 6 minutes on each side. When they don’t need to be turned, place a slice of Cheddar on each patty and let it melt. While the cheese is being placed on the patties, cook the bacon at the same time so everything is done at the same time. Place the patties on the lettuce leaves, layer the bacon, tomato slices, and caramelized onions on top, and place the top halves of the buns on top.
