Spelt Roll

  • 500 g Spelled flour type 1050
  • 300 ml Lukewarm water
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Flour for dusting
  1. Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well, make a small well in the middle, add the olive oil and start kneading. Slowly add the lukewarm water and knead the dough until a smooth dough is formed that loosens from the edge of the bowl.
  2. Sprinkle flour on the work surface, let the dough slide out of the kneading bowl and roll through the flour into a roll without kneading again. Cut 8 to 9 blanks, shape them into a round shape and place in the bread roll.
  3. Spray the bread roll tray with water, place a fire-proof dish with water on the bottom of the oven, put the roll tray in the cold oven. Set the oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat and bake for about 25-30 minutes. May vary slightly depending on the oven. Let cool on a wire rack.
