Thick Waffles

The perfect thick waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 200 g Butter / margarine
  • 100 g Sugar brown raw sugar
  • 4 Pc. Eggs
  • 0,25 tsp Tartar baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Sunflower oil
  1. 2 Separate the eggs, beat the egg white from the egg whites and a pinch of salt. Beat 2 eggs, 2 egg yolks, sugar and butter to a creamy mass, mix the baking powder with the flour and sieve into the mass to avoid lumps. Carefully fold in the egg whites.
  2. Preheat the waffle iron, the dough can rest for a while. Brush the iron with oil, put about 2 tablespoons of batter in the middle of the waffle iron and fry until crispy.
