Pear and chokeberry jam with vanilla

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g berries (aronia)
  • 600 g pear(s)
  • 200 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 33 minutes

and freshly squeezed orange juice

Peel, core, and slice the pears. Scrape out the vanilla pod. Purée the aronia berries, pear pieces, orange juice, and vanilla seeds in a blender. Pour the purée into a saucepan, mix with the preserving sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer for 3 minutes. Immediately fill jam jars and seal.
