Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 1 kg plum(s) (prunes)
  • ¾ liter of juice (elderberry juice)
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 ½ kg gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Elderberry/pear/plum spread

Chop the pears, pit and chop the plums, add the elderberry juice, crumbled cinnamon sticks, and preserving sugar, and let it steep briefly. Bring everything to a boil, simmer gently for 4 minutes, and then strain through a sieve or food mill. Grate the chocolate and melt it in the hot jam. Bring the jam back to a boil and immediately serve.
