Red grape jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,500 ml grape juice, red, freshly squeezed
  • 1,000 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 carnation(s)
  • 1 cardamom pod(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) of allspice powder
  • 1 pinch(s) coriander powder
  • 4 cl rum, brown
  • 5 drops of oil (orange oil)
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with Christmas spice mix

Press the grapes in a cold-press juicer; I got 1.5 liters of grape juice. Bring the water to a boil with the crumbled cinnamon, star anise, cloves, cardamom, allspice, coriander, and rum, then strain into the juice. Pour the juice into a sufficiently large saucepan, stir in the gelling sugar and the remaining ingredients, and let it simmer for a few minutes. Pour the jelly into sterile jars and seal immediately.
