Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g turkey schnitzel
- 750 g ketchup (curry ketchup)
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp curry powder
- n. B. Mixed French herbs (or marjoram, thyme, rosemary)
- 1 lemon(s), the juice
- ½ tsp Tabasco (or another hot sauce)
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 6 tbsp honey
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Chop the meat into small pieces, then season with salt and pepper. Mix the curry ketchup with the other six ingredients from the list. Caramelize the honey in a pan and briefly sear the meat. Then place the meat in a casserole dish, possibly with the remaining honey. Pour the sauce over it. Bake the dish in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes (the time depends on your oven’s heat). Tip: I always test a piece of meat every now and then to see if it’s done after the specified baking time. But you should definitely rearrange the meat every now and then. Serve with rice, hash browns, or flatbread. Another tip from me: If you like sauces, make double the amount. Plus, you can prepare it well in advance, as the meat tastes much better the next day.
