Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g almonds
  • 500 g apples
  • 400 ml apple juice
  • 100 g sultanas
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Roast the almonds without fat and set aside. Peel, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Bring to a boil with the apple juice, sultanas, and gelling sugar and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Roughly chop the almonds and add them. Scrape out the seeds from the vanilla pod, quarter the vanilla pod, and add it as well. Cook everything briefly. Immediately pour into hot, rinsed, screw-top jars and seal tightly. Turn upside down and let stand for about 5 minutes.
