Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples (e.g. Boskop)
  • 50 g almond(s), finely chopped
  • 50 g marzipan paste
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Gingerbread spice
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

another delicious variation

Wash the apples, cut off one of the tops, and hollow out the insides. Mix the finely chopped almonds with the marzipan mixture, honey, cream, and vanilla sugar. Season with a little gingerbread spice and cinnamon. Fill the apples with the filling, place the lids on top, and place them in a baking dish. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Tip: Do the toothpick test! Take a toothpick and carefully pierce the side of an apple. If it comes through without resistance, the baked apple is perfect.
