Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s)
  • 150 g onion(s)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 80 g ginger
  • 2 orange(s) – peel, grated
  • 250 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 chili pepper(s), dried
  • 2 tsp nutmeg blossom
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the halved, pitted plums, diced onions, garlic, and ginger with the orange zest in a saucepan with vinegar, sugar, crushed chili, salt, and mace. Cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and simmer for 30 minutes while stirring. Strain through a sieve and allow to cool. Then pour into sealable jars. Store in a cool, dark place.
