Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g red currants, stemmed
  • 150 g sugar
  • 250 g milk
  • 200 g cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 40 g rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash and remove the stems from the currants, and puree them with the milk. Then, pass the mixture through a fine sieve to create a clean fruit puree. Next, add the cream, sugar, salt, and rum and blend with a hand blender until frothy. Blend with a hand blender until the sugar is completely dissolved. Now, transfer the ice cream mixture to the ice cream maker and churn for approximately 75 minutes, depending on the machine. The ice cream can be portioned from the freezer.
