Slow cooker loin with mushroom cream

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 large pork loin(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 150 g root vegetables
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 200 ml water
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 50 ml water
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 100 g cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Peel the root vegetables and dice very finely. Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel and press the garlic. Thinly slice the mushrooms. Brown the loin. Add the root vegetables, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker. Add the meat and mushrooms. Pour in the white wine and water. Simmer for 3-4 hours. During the last hour, stir in the cornstarch and add it. When it has thickened, add salt, pepper, and cream until the sauce tastes right. Heat through and serve.
