Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 medium-sized gherkins
- 1 pack of herring fillet(s)
- 4 eggs, hard-boiled
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 tsp mustard, medium hot
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Dice the herring fillets, gherkins, hard-boiled eggs, and onions. Mix everything well, then add the mustard and mayonnaise. Mix everything well and let it sit for a few hours. This mixture can be spread on baguette slices and served as finger food. Consume within about 3 days.
