Chicory and pear pizza with Gorgonzola

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of pizza dough
  • 1 head of chicory
  • 1 handful of bacon
  • 1 pear(s)
  • 1 cup sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 150 g Gorgonzola or Roquefort
  • possibly cheese, sliced
  • 1 pinch(s) black pepper, crushed
  • possibly lemon peel, untreated, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Fry the bacon in a pan and add the chopped pears, cooking thoroughly. Let the whole thing cool. Spread the pizza dough with sour cream or crème fraîche, top with the chopped chicory, bacon, pears, and Gorgonzola or Roquefort. For a more hearty dish, you can also sprinkle with shaved Emmental or similar cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 220°C, sprinkle with cracked pepper, and serve immediately. Tip: Grated lemon zest adds an extra kick.
