Chicken strips old Bavarian style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken breasts, about 400 g or a little more
  • 3 tbsp mustard, sweet
  • 2 tbsp horseradish, from the jar
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • n. B. Salt and pepper from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

quick dish from the oven

Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips and knead them with a spoonful each of horseradish and sweet mustard, along with a pinch of salt and pepper, and set aside. Preheat the oven to 175°C (fan oven). Grease a not-too-large casserole dish and mix the remaining ingredients in it. Season again with salt. Place the meat in the dish and spread it out so that it is completely covered with the sauce. Bake for 45 minutes at 175°C (fan oven). This dish goes well with pasta, rice, or even just a fresh pretzel. Tip: In the summer, I don’t like to turn on the oven so much. I sear the meat in a pan, then add the other ingredients and let it simmer briefly. It’s almost as delicious, but the kitchen isn’t as hot.
