Green beans with potatoes and chili meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g green beans
  • 300 g potatoes
  • 250 g minced beef
  • 5 Vienna sausages
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 medium-sized garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp savory
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Break the green beans into bite-sized pieces. Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Roughly chop half of the onions and finely chop the other half. Finely chop the garlic. Knead the ground beef with the finely chopped onions, a finely chopped garlic clove, chili powder, paprika, mustard, breadcrumbs, a little salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into balls about 1 cm in size. Brown the meatballs in a pan for about 2 minutes. Add the onions, potatoes, green beans, garlic, and savory, then top up with the broth and season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Finely chop the wiener sausages and add them shortly before the end of the cooking time.
