muesli bars

Spread the love

Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g honey
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 200 g muesli (fruit muesli)
  • 150 g oat flakes
  • 100 g cornflakes
  • 50 g raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Put the butter, sugar, and honey in a pan or saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly, until everything is caramelized and golden brown. Then stir in the lemon juice and the muesli mix. Stir until everything is covered in the caramel mixture. Spread the warm mixture on a piece of baking paper. I always form a square cookie about 1.5-2 cm thick by pulling the sides of the baking paper over the mixture until I get a straight edge and then pressing it flat with my hand until I achieve the desired thickness. I do this with all sides until it is evenly thick and has straight edges. After the bar mixture has cooled for about 20 minutes, you can cut the bars. Makes about 20 bars.
