Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef strips
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 eggplant(s)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Chili flakes or fresh red chili
  • vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Broth powder

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Crush the garlic. Dice the vegetables. Pour the oil into a large pot and add all the ingredients. Season with salt, pepper, and the spices, add the tomato paste, and mix everything together. Cover and simmer gently for about 40 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Season to taste after cooking and thicken the sauce slightly if necessary. Serve with basmati rice. I pour a splash of water over the vegetables and meat in the pot for the sauce. I think you can vary the vegetables in any way you like, for example, with mushrooms or bell peppers.
