Meatballs 'Stroganoff'

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 roll from the day before
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • oil
  • butter
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 40 g margarine
  • 125 ml chicken broth
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 small cucumbers, cut into sticks
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper, butter and oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the onion and fry in a little oil in a pan until translucent. Soak the bread roll in water and squeeze out any excess water. Mix both with the minced meat, egg, salt, mustard, and pepper, and form the mixture into small balls. Fry them in the butter and oil mixture until browned all over, then remove from the pan. Add the stock and the sour cream mixed with the flour to the pan and bring to a boil. Stir in the margarine and cucumber sticks, and season the sauce with salt, mustard, and pepper. Return the balls to the sauce and let stand for another 5 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
