  • 50 ml sweet chili sauce
  • 50 ml BBQ sauce, classic
  • 50 ml honey, liquid

Tender and delicious, my personal favorite

Halve the spare ribs to create four roughly square pieces. Heat a little oil in a pan and sear the spare ribs briefly to develop a roasted flavor. Finely dice the onion and mix well with all the other ingredients to make a marinade. Preheat the oven to 170°C fan/convection oven (adjust accordingly for other ovens). Pour the oil from the pan and the marinade into an ovenproof casserole dish. Place the spare ribs in the pan, making sure they are covered as much as possible. Cover and braise the spare ribs on the middle rack of the oven for about 70-80 minutes. Remove the ribs and serve with a side dish of your choice. I like them as they are, but if you like, you can also serve them with your favorite BBQ sauce.
