Sweet and sour zucchini

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 2,000 g zucchini
  • 1,000 g bell pepper(s), colored (slightly green)
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 2 lemons, juice
  • 1 liter of water
  • ½ liter apple juice
  • 200 g sugar
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp curry
  • dill
  • Mustard seeds (alternatively mustard)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

You’ll also need a 750 ml bottle of Gurkenmeister (cucumber preserves). Bring the lemon juice, Gurkenmeister (cucumber preserves), water, apple juice, sugar, and spices to a boil. Dice the zucchini and bell peppers and add them to the hot broth. Bring back to a boil and divide the contents into prepared jars while still hot. Seal the jars immediately. Cucumbers and bell peppers with onions also preserve very well using this recipe.
