Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 4 cm ginger, peeled, finely chopped
- 30 g ghee or 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp coriander
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt
- 1 liter of water
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Heat the fat in a pan and fry the onions and garlic cloves until translucent. Crush the coriander in a mortar and pestle, add it to the pan along with the fennel, ginger, and bay leaf, and roast briefly. Pour in 1 liter of water and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
