Hunter's sauce à la Gabi

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 small can mushrooms, sliced
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely diced
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • some flour to thicken
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • possibly Maggi

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the mushrooms and water and bring to a boil. Whisk the flour with the water to thicken the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and Maggi, if desired. Finally, stir in the parsley. Serve the sauce with fried schnitzels, for example. Tip: For an even more savory flavor, fry 125g of streaky, smoked bacon cubes.
