Trout in pan and oven

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 trout(s)
  • Flour
  • salt and pepper
  • Fresh herbs (e.g. rosemary, thyme) as desired
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable cream, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Wash the trout, remove the head and tail if necessary, and then add the fresh herbs to the belly. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the belly and season the outside with salt and pepper. Then coat the trout in flour. Meanwhile, heat the fat in a pan and add the trout. Sear on all sides to brown the flour (takes about 5 minutes). Then wrap the trout in aluminum foil and place it in the oven at 180°C. Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
