Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 oranges
  • 250 g curd cheese, 20%
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp, heaped sugar
  • 9 ladyfingers
  • 500 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes

First, peel and segment both oranges. Collect the juice. Heat the butter and sugar. As soon as the sugar turns brown, add the orange segments and, after a moment, deglaze with the orange juice. Heat until the sugar is dissolved. Then cook the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions. Mix the quark with sugar, if desired, until smooth and stir into the hot pudding. Season to taste. Pour about half of the cream into dessert glasses. For each glass, break two ladyfingers in half and dip them in the juice of the caramelized oranges, then place them on the cream. Place the orange segments on top. Then another ladyfinger and finally the remaining cream. Leave to set in the refrigerator for a good two hours.
